‘Immersive View’ feature will come soon in Google Maps: View of the world’s traffic will be seen sitting at home, real time weather updates will also be available

Google has launched a new feature ‘Immersive View’ of Google Maps in its biggest developer event I / O-2023. With the help of this feature, users will be able to see different routes to go from one place to another while sitting at home.

Along with this, you will be able to know about the air quality, real time weather update and traffic condition of this route. Apart from this, users will be able to see the live view of that place (anywhere in the world) even before going somewhere.

Immersive View feature will make people’s travel easier
In the event, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai told that Google Maps provides directions to people for more than 20 billion KM every day. Now the new feature will make the journey easier for the people. Whether you are walking, cycling or a vehicle. The feature will work on all three platforms, iOS, Android and Google Maps.

Service will start in 15 cities at the end of the year
Pichai told that we will start this service in this summer (summer) season and will rollout in 15 cities by the end of the year. These cities include New York, London, Paris, Florence, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Venice, Seattle, Tokyo, San Jose, Las Vegas, Berlin, Los Angeles, Dublin and Miami.

What is Immersive View
Google Maps’ immersive view combines computer vision and AI to merge billions of Street View and aerial images into a digital presentation of the world. The immersive view for Routes works in the same way that you see the route before starting any trip.

The immersive view for routes gives you all the information you need about your route at once. It gives you a variety of options to give you a multi-dimensional experience, such as information about bike lanes, footpaths, intersections and parking lots.
